Noteworthy Mention of Bonnie Brae Neighborhood

The Bonnie Brae Neighborhood in Denver is blessed with winding streets, mature trees, and friendly neighbors, making this one of Denver’s most desirable communities.

History of Bonnie Brae Neighborhood

The Bonnie Brae Neighborhood was planned to resemble a Scottish village complete with a winding boulevard, curving side streets, a circular central park, and a collection of small shops where residents could catch up and stay connected. Architecture styles mostly from the 1930s and 40s in Bonnie Brae range from charming Cape Cods and brick ranches to larger two-story brick and frame homes and English Tudors. Recently, residents have been scraping some of the smaller homes to replace them with larger and more modern “McMansions.”

Recreation

Bonnie Brae means “Pleasant Hill” and is a sanctuary in the heart of the city. Residents boast of the benefits of living near the center of a major metropolitan city; yet have nearby parks, restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. Bonnie Brae has an annual picnic each year in late summer at Bonnie Brae Park.

Highlights Include:

Bonnie Brae Tavern | “Established in 1934, this iconic restaurant is a favorite among residents and visitors alike. Great diversity of food including savory salads, signature pizza and Italian dishes, and classic Mexican and American selections. This is a can’t miss joint.”
