Brighton is an established community 20 miles north of Denver which has seen a huge increase in population with the growth of Denver. Conveniently located northwest of Denver International Airport, Brighton has attracted people looking for small town atmosphere yet close to the amenities Denver and Boulder have to offer.

As the county seat of Adams County, Brighton serves a diverse demographic. The traditional agricultural base has been augmented by other industries including manufacturing, healthcare, energy and education. The town encompasses about 17 square miles and the South Platte River runs through the town.

There are many new home developments in Brighton that offer a variety of living styles, from new homes priced in the upper $300s to spacious million dollar homes on two acres. The average sale price of Brighton homes is near the $450,000 range. Brighton has a true sense of community among its residents, boasting over a 70 percent homeownership rate.

With over 40,000 residents (nearly double what the town had in 2000), Brighton is a vibrant neighborhood and prides itself on its variety of arts programs, a popular recreation center and aquatic park, medical center and historic downtown area. Annual and much anticipated events include Summerfest, Fourth of July, Eggstravaganza, Flix & Kicks concerts and movies in the park, Trunk or Treat, Turkey Trot and the Festival of Lights (the second largest holiday parade in Colorado).

Brighton is home to two microbreweries: Something Brewery and Big Choice Brewery. Big Choice has a huge 5,300 tap room, two outdoor patios and a pizza kitchen. Something Brewery was the first brewery/taproom in Brighton and serves up seasonal brews as well as packaged beer. Don’t miss Lauer Krauts, who have gained notoriety by being featured on Food Network, and serves up mouth-watering kraut burgers and homemade desserts that change daily.
