Marston neighborhood is Denver’s most southwesterly neighborhood and is named after the cattle farmer John Marston. It is often confused with being in Littleton and is outlined with a irregular “D” shape. It is located south of Quincy, and winds its way through Littleton, the key borders being Kipling, Belleview, W. Grant Ranch, Cross Drive and Marston Lake. If you’re looking for room to spread out in newer homes yet still be in the Denver city limits, Marston neighborhood is calling you.

Architecture and Homes in Marston Neighborhood

A favorite among families who want to escape the inner city, Marston has a suburban feel with cozy parks, nearby golf courses and quick access to the foothills and mountains. Many of these homes have more than 3,000 square feet and were built in the 1990s so prospective homeowners see relatively up-to-date features and additions. The popular Grant Ranch development is located in the Marston neighborhood and offers many large homes for growing families. Close to half of the people living in Marston neighborhood are married, typically in the 30s and 40s, with children. In addition to Denver Public Schools, there are a number of private and charter school options in the vicinity.

Recreation and Culture

Marston serves as a great base camp for golfing fanatics. There are five public courses within a 3-mile radius of the neighborhood: Fox Hollow, Homestead, Meadows, Foothills and Raccoon Creek. And the private Pinehurst Country Club is nearby as well.

Within the boundaries of Marston are the small parks of Garrison/Union and Wagon Trail, and just on the Littleton border are Harriman Lake Park, featuring a great fishing hole and 1.5-mile loop trail, and the expansive Robert Clement Park and Johnson Reservoir. Marston Lake is not accessible as it is a water source for Denver Water.
